The Student Card
You get lots of benefits and discounts through the Student Card, and as a member you also get a nice frog on your digital campus card! The campus card is student identification, discount card and membership card in one. This gives you, among other things, access to a student discount at SL and SJ, and the opportunity to queue for student housing.
Membership benefits
You get membership benefits in NF, such as access to our Thursday pubs, member prices for food, access to all our activities and a wonderful community with other natural science students! For more information about our activities, and thus what you get access to as a member, you are welcome to look here.
Get involved
You get the opportunity to get involved in the Natural Sciences Faculty Club! As a member, you can vote during our association meetings and run for positions in the club. You can also apply for activity grants and organize your own events with our help!
The student union + NF = <3
The Natural Sciences Faculty Club collaborates with Stockholm University's student union (SUS), and you sign up for membership with us via SUS. You can then choose to become a member of NF + the union or just NF. Regardless of whether you choose union membership or not, it costs SEK 125 per semester, or SEK 240 for an academic year. To become a member of the union, you need to be a registered student at Stockholm University. When you acquire union membership, you get access to the Campus Card. If you are not a registered student at SU, you can still become a supporting member of NF, then you will receive a special faculty association card but not access to the Campus Card (with accompanying discounts and benefits).
How does one become a member in nf?
Membership can be obtained either by viewing the union's website, or by going to the union office in Studenthuset. You can also go to the office if you have practical questions about membership or to pick up a faculty association card.
good to know
Membership in NF is accuired per semester, so even if the Student Card is valid longer, renewed membership is required at the start of each semester (or start of the academic year) in order to participate in NF's activities.
In order to vote and/or run for positions of trust in the club, you must be a fully fledged member. This means that you are a student or teacher at Stockholm University, or have previously been a member of NF. More precise wording regarding membership can be found in our statutes.
